Michael Bay WON’T Direct Transformers 3

Fanboys rejoice! Michael Bay has tentatively axed plans to direct another adventure set in the world of shape-shifting automobiles. I was actually a staunch supporter of Michael Bay, hoping he’d rectify everything I hated about the first film — the stupid humor, annoyingly abrasive soundtrack, etc. — though early reviews are proving that he did not. Ohwell.
“It’s easy to go shoot an art movie in a winery in the South of France. But people have no idea how hard it is to create something like Transformers,” Bay said. “They (the critics) review me before they’ve even seen the movie.” And what do you expect? Most critics these days aren’t snobby, generation-gapped elders; they’re nerd-types running film sites from their apartments and tend to be pretty close-minded when it comes to trampling something from their childhood. Perhaps a smaller film is just what Bay needs right now.
In any case, who would you like to see direct Transformers 3?
