Bryce Dallas Howard Pens ‘Originals’

Bryce Dallas Howard (The Village, Terminator: Salvation) is going from actress to screenwriter after recently scripting an ensemble film with her writing partner Dane Charbeneau (Orchids). The Originals is the story of a group of twentysomethings who reconvene for a weekend in New York after learning that the teacher who shaped their childhoods has fallen into a mysterious coma. The Originals germinated a few years ago when Howard took to the idea of something that tackled the quarter-life crisis issues her contemporaries were dealing with. Howard and Charbeneau have been working on the script for the past couple of years, and the film is being prepped as a potential directing vehicle for her father.
