I’m totally predicting all news will soon be delivered via Twitter. Quick and efficient, with nothing extraneous involved. 150 words to get your information out there. Just you watch. And no, I’m not willing to bet on it unless you’re willing to front the money. Sony Pictures has debuted the poster for it’s upcoming Nora Ephron directed comedy Julie & Julia. The film stars Meryl Streep and the always charming Amy Adams as Julia Childs and Julie Powell, respectively.

The film is unique in that it’s actually based on two novels. My Life in France, Child’s autobiography, written with Alex Prud’homme, and a memoir by Julie Powell. Powell started documenting online her daily experiences in August 2002, cooking each of the 524 recipes in Child’s Mastering the Art of French Cooking. The Julie/Julia Project was then reworked into a book, Julie & Julia: 365 Days, 524 Recipes, 1 Tiny Apartment Kitchen. Both books were published in the same 2004-2006 timeframe.

I actually used to not mind Nora Ephron films so much, until the dreaded You Got Mail. After that, I just sorta gave up. But hey, I will seriously watch ANYTHING with Amy Adams. Julie & Julia was both written and directed by Nora Ephron, and comes to theaters August 7th.
